Note: This class consists of four sessions. When you sign up, your registration will cover all four sessions in the month-long course: August 3, 10, 17, and 24.
Learn how to tell your story in the most effective way across all your online channels to increase engagement, impact, and donations. In this highly interactive, hands-on, four-week course, we’ll uncover the stories, structures, and psychological devices that most effectively captivate your current donor base, potential donors, allies, and beneficiaries.
Starting by harnessing the power of the "Hollywood blockbuster" story formula to grab attention, hold interest, and motivate action, we will create a strategy for telling your story throughout all of your nonprofit’s online communications channels:
- Social media
In developing this messaging, the coursework will consist of guided in-class activities as well as weekly "homework" exercises to work on with your team and bring back to class for discussion. Finally, you’ll dive into your nonprofit’s highest-potential areas for growth, the tools for effective marketing, and methods for measuring success.
By the end of this course, comprised of four half-day sessions complemented by exercises to complete between each session, you’ll walk away with more than just a vision of your organization’s story. You'll have a vividly developed, ready-to-implement storytelling strategy that reaches across all of your online communications channels, a content calendar for the next 6-12 months, and a clear dashboard of your key performance indicators.
The class consists of four sessions. By registering, you are signed up to attend all four of these class dates:
Thursday, August 3, 9:30am-12:30pm
Thursday, August 10, 9:30am-12:30pm
Thursday, August 17, 9:30am-12:30pm
Thursday, August 24, 9:30am-12:30pm
This course qualifies for 12 CFRE Education Credits.
